Gent by Honeywell is not only the UK’s leading manufacturer of fire detection equipment, it is also highly regarded as an innovator in the industry. Over the years, CWA has created some useful tools for Gent’s fire system designers, in print form.
The Work
Gent approached us and asked us to create digital versions of some of their design tools in digital form. The S-Quad Calculator is centered around a detector that incorporates sensor, sounder, speech and strobe functionalities in one device. Its sensitivity can be set according to specific parameters and the S-Quad app assists the fire designer in establishing these settings. An app for the siting of Visual Alarm Devices allows the designer to set a room size and height, and then drag devices onto a floorplan to determine sufficient coverage.
